One of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges “Bitfinex” announced the launch of a decentralized platform based on the EOS network, on September 26 during its Blockchain Live event in London, UK.

Bitfinex indicated that its new decentralized platform, which was named “EOSfinex”, will provide a safe, transparent and fast trading experience for users.

The platform system will include three trading pairs: EOS/USD, ETH/USD and BTC/USD, and more trading pairs are expected to be added in the coming period.

The platform stated on its blog that adding a new pair to trading is very easy and can be done by anyone after they issue a trusted contract.

In the first stage, the EOSfinex platform will contain simple features such as limit orders, cancellation, and specifying types of orders, with more features to be added in the future based on user feedback.

It is worth noting that Bitfinex faced several criticisms after it failed to provide users with audits for the digital stablecoin (Tether), which the exchange co-manages with the main Tether team.

Some claim that Tether does not have enough US dollar reserves to support the digital stablecoin (TUSD), which has a market capitalization of more than $2.7 billion.

Noting that the HitBTC platform recently added the option to trade against EOS and became the main currency in the platform, now Bitfinex, through the EOSfinex decentralized platform, wants to start a new path of innovation with the EOS network.
