Rimini Football Club, which plays in Division C, has sold part of the team’s shares in exchange for cryptocurrencies.

Heritage Sports Holdings, a sports investment company based in the United Arab Emirates, has announced the completion of the transaction to purchase Rimini Club in exchange for cryptocurrency.

It is worth noting that the company did not use Bitcoin to buy the club’s shares, but rather used Quantocoin and its symbol QTC to buy approximately 25 percent of the Italian team, Rimini.

The official announcement was made by Giorgio Grassi, president of Rimini, and he said: “Negotiations with the company have continued for two months, and the company will work, in cooperation with its partner Quantocoin, to add many new ideas for the club and the city and improve the club’s brand.”

Noting that Heritage Sports Holdings was established in 2013, and its business focuses on acquiring football teams in European and Asian countries.

Among the other clubs owned by the company are the Spanish club Deportivo Los Barrios, and the Italian Mantova. The company also owns Gibraltar United, one of the clubs that has announced that players are paid in cryptocurrency.

Rimini club is one of the old clubs and has a troubled history, as the organization previously declared bankruptcy in 2006, and the team faced a number of problems, including the departure of many members of the board of directors, closing the club and re-establishing it three times.
