Answer Twitter founder tests the new decentralized social application “Bluesky” to compete with Twitter “Elon Musk”!

Jack Dorsey, co-founder and former CEO of Twitter, is beta testing a new social networking site.

A week before Elon Musk took over Twitter, Dorsey announced that his decentralized social network, Bluesky, was in test mode.

In February, the company announced that it would implement this plan as an independent entity by forming “Bluesky PBLLC”, a public benefit corporation with limited liability.

In a recent statement, Jack Dorsey stated:

It takes coordination from many parties once the network is deployed, so we’ll be starting a private beta to solve problems.

To help develop a decentralized concept similar to the leading social network, Twitter first launched Bluesky in 2019.

Bluesky’s main goal is to create a solid and open standard for everyone.

Currently Bluesky is not controlled by a single company.

Additionally, Dorsey left his position as CEO of Twitter in November 2021, and in the months that followed, Elon Musk made an offer to acquire the social network Twitter.

The acquisition took place already last Thursday after a long struggle.

Immediately after, Musk fired Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, and two other senior executives.

According to the press release, the new app will take advantage of a unified social network known as the Authenticated Transfer Protocol (AT Protocol), which is hosted by many sites rather than just one.

While running beta tests, Bluesky will also improve the protocol’s specifications and disclose information about how it works.

The next step is to start testing the protocol.

The company revealed in a press release this week that developing a distributed protocol is a challenging process.

It requires coordination from many parties once the network is deployed.

Dorsey said last week on Twitter:

Bluesky plans to be a competitor to any company trying to own the basic fundamentals of social media or the data of the people who use it.
