Answer Twitter adds Ethereum to its new “tip jar” service

Twitter, one of the social media giants, has made it available to users of its mobile application, and provided them with the option to pay in Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency as a tip for content creators on its platform.

The addition of Ethereum comes after the San Francisco-based company began offering Bitcoin as a tip to content makers in late September.

The tip jar feature, which allows users to earn money from their followers, was originally introduced in early May 2021.

In late January 2022, users of Blue Twitter (Twitter’s paid service) were allowed to display their precious non-fungible tokens as profile pictures.
