Many large institutions and companies have turned their eyes towards cryptocurrencies by investing in them.

MicroStrategy is the brightest example where the company is taking every opportunity to accumulate more Bitcoin.

These developments may be among the reasons why 26% of US residents are currently bitcoin holders, according to the latest Grayscale research.

Additionally, nearly 60% of all respondents said they are interested in investing in cryptocurrencies, hinting that the percentage of owners could continue to increase.

The Corona pandemic and the subsequent financial hurdles that followed may be another argument for investors to exchange some of their fiat currencies for bitcoin.

As such, it’s no wonder that 55% of current Bitcoin traders in the US have jumped on the shopping cart in the past 12 months.

A similar percentage admitted that they view the leading cryptocurrencies as an investment tool and store of value rather than a currency.
