Answer Game company welcomes NFT games after being banned from Steam…Details here

Games company Epic and CEO Tim Sweeney seem open to allowing games that use blockchain technology and NFTs, through Advertising for letting these games and codes into its own store, even as NFT continues to be criticized as a giant scam and a bubble about to burst.

Epic’s decision comes after Valve, the company that oversees the Steam platform, announced the removal and ban of all games that use NFT and blockchain technology.

Epic told The Verge that while there are some restrictions, it is open to working with developers who want to use blockchain technology, NFT, and cryptocurrency in games that can appear on the storefront.

Epic CEO Sweeney tweeted a statement after The Verge published an article stating his company is interested in allowing NFT technology on its storefront, explaining that the Epic Games Store will welcome games that use blockchain technology provided they follow the relevant laws, And the disclosure of these games.

Fans quickly pointed out that this appears to be in direct conflict with Sweeney’s comments made on Twitter last month.

In previous tweets, the CEO told that Epic would not approach NFT because the entire field is tangled with a mix of scams.

But apparently, after a few weeks, the outlook has changed as both Epic and its CEO are completely open to NFT.

The possible explanation is that Sweeney wants to get the NFT cake and take a large portion of it after Steam withdrew and closed the door to blockchain and NFT games.
